Save fuel and cash while saving Mother Nature! Click here for helpful tips.

Save cash and the environment at the same time with these fuel efficiency tips from Michelin:

Maintain Your Car
Proper engine maintenance can save you up to 165 gallons of gas per year, which results in savings of around $600.

Slow Down
Gas mileage decreases exponentially with your speed.  Driving 62 mph compared to 75 mph will reduce your fuel consumption by around 15%.

Maintain Your Speed
Cars speed up and slow down at varying rates, so it's important to maintain a constant speed.  Maintaining your speed will help improve your fuel economy.  It takes more energy for your vehicle to get moving compared to keeping it moving.

Clean Out You Vehicle
The more weight you haul, the more gas your vehicle uses to propel it.  An extra load of cargo around 100 pounds can reduce your fuel economy by 2%.

Cut The Use of A/C At Lower Speeds
When you use your A/C at lower speeds, your vehicle uses up to 20% more fuel.  Make sure to turn off the A/C and roll the windows down when you're traveling at lower speeds

Check Your Tires
Certain factors with tires such as tread pattern, type of rubber, and tire size contribute to an energy loss known as rolling resistance.  The lower the rolling resistance, the greater the fuel efficiency.  Michelin offers a line of tires called "Green X", which helps reduce rolling resistance, while saving you money and the environment.
